On April 1, 2016 the National Living Wage (NLW) becomes law. Workers aged 25 or over and not in the first year of an apprenticeship must now be paid at least £7.20 an hour, 50p higher than the current National Minimum Wage for those aged 21 and over.

Almost six million employee jobs in the UK are estimated to be paid less than the Living Wage.
